Heavy Duty Scara Robot Robots That Speak...a PLC's Language

Products Overview

AFAST Robotics offers “a hardware solution for Rockwell’s software solution”.

AFAST offers a complete line of industrial SCARA robots (the Integral product line). A SCARA, Selectively Compliant Articulated Robot Arm, is a four axis robot with movement in the X, Y, Z, and theta Z space. SCARA robots are most commonly used as pick and place systems. The speed and precision of SCARA robots make them an ideal fit in most industries where automation improves quality of the product and production speeds are higher than can be achieved with manual labor.

The Integral robot line connects directly to Allen Bradley Kinetix® 2000 or Kinetix® 6000 servo drives. The robots use standard RSLogix™5000 software commands eliminating the need for a separate controller and program for the PLC logic. By using one controller and standard commands built into RSLogix™5000 software, you eliminate communication issues between the PLC and the robot control, as well as reduce training costs. Since AFAST robots utilize Allen-Bradley® motors and drives, you can connect additional motion axes to the same Sercos network.
